Battle Biological Aging with Urolithin A!

Mitopure is a new supplement from a company called Timeline. It represents one of the most important discoveries and developments in health and aging. Mitopure contains the molecule Urolithin A, which improves mitochondrial function like no other.

What are mitochondria? They are the structure within cells where 90% of the body's energy is produced. Some of the organs most impacted by energy supply are the brain, heart, muscles, liver, kidneys, and sensory organs (eyesight and hearing). With age and many environmental insults (including diet and lifestyle), our mitochondria become damaged. Not surprisingly, signs and symptoms develop: fatigue, impaired mood, thinking and memory, weakness, loss of muscle and bone, skin wrinkling, heart disease, hearing loss, chronic pain, and more. Biological aging is associated with loss of function and with all the degenerative diseases.

A single mitochondrion. Heart cells have thousands of mitochondria because they never get a rest!

Mitochondria are susceptible to free radical damage, which is unavoidable but accelerated by toxicity, inflammation, blood sugar imbalances, and nutrient deficiencies, among other insults. Damaged mitochondria don't produce as much energy but do produce more damaging free radicals. Mitochondria and energy production play a critical role in biological aging. Nothing in the body works as well when energy is lacking. Aging is in part the result of "running out of gas". The physical structure of the mitochondria is a critical determinant of how much energy is produced.

In young healthy people, the mitochondria undergo a lot of recycling - breakdown and regeneration. Damaged mitochondria are broken down in a process termed mitophagy and fresh healthy mitochondria recreated through biogenesis. These processes wilt with age. Damaged mitochondria accumulate. Your biological energy engine shrinks and sputters.

Mitopure (Urolithin A) stimulates both mitophagy and mitochondrial biogenesis. It is easy to imagine the benefits this can produce. Although Urolithin A was only recently discovered, there is important research that has been published and many more ground-breaking studies are underway.

Human studies have found Urolithin A to improve mitochondrial health and function, reduce inflammation, and improve muscle strength and endurance, as well as skin health. Animals given Urolithin A have improved Insulin sensitivity, immune function, joint health, and more. Immune cells function better with Urolithin A. In addition to the reduced inflammation demonstrated in the human study, an animal study found Urolithin A-supplemented animals had immune cells that were able to kill more cancer cells. An animal model of Alzheimer's disease found Urolithin A-supplemented animals had improved learning and memory, and reduced Aβ brain plaques. Other studies have found animals given Urolithin A live longer!

Urolithin A is a postbiotic - a substance produced by bacteria. Plant-derived substances call ellagitannins are converted by certain intestinal bacteria into Urolithin A. Ellagitannins are concentrated in pomegranate, black raspberries, strawberries, pecans, and walnuts. Most individuals don't produce much Urolithin A when eating these foods. A study found that a dose of Mitopure produced 6X higher blood levels of Urolithin A than when subjects consumed 8 ounces of pomegranate juice.

Mitopure is available in pill and powder form. It is also sold as topical creams and serum, which have been found to improve skin hydration and collagen metabolism, reduce wrinkles, and protect against UVB (sunlight) damage.

There is a product that may do even more for mitochondria than Mitopure, as incredible as that may sound. Renual combines Urolithin A with coenzyme Q10 and resveratrol. Coenzyme is an essential nutrient for. the activity of mitochondria in converting food and oxygen into energy. Coenzyme Q10 is produced in the body but many individuals don’t produce enough due to aging and other factors. Resveratrol activates SIRT1, which has a multitude of health-promoting, anti-aging effects. Resveratrol has published human research for improving insulin resistance, inflammation, cognitive function, and much more! Animal studies have also found resveratrol to increase lifespan.
